So at this point, the only thing that can slow this tree down is ... more of itself in the way?

But in the world tree future, if anything does figure out how to attack it, the whole ecosystem goes down. Hopefully its aggressive growth doesn't crowd out its own seedlings, and so there's eventually some genetic diversity.
