Having looked at the LJ comments speculating on who these two are -- which I thoroughly agree with -- I see the eminent practicality on both sides coming through to present day. Much more an engineer, dealing with what's there, than the scholar on the part of Ju Lee. And having a thorough understanding of people and social dynamics, yet still coming from the lowest tiers of society, on the part of Gou Hu. I still wonder where all the training in ritual gi and the Way of Mayhem came from, though.
