That's... concerning. Not everyone is going to have heavy equipment to scrape the dried fertilizer off of acres and acres of lands.

If the fire's confined to the yards, then purhaps you can clear around it and keep it confined, but I think you'd lose the yards themselves. Unless they're steel and not wood.

I'd hope that most farms that do not have a bulldozer or equivalent have access to one. Whether they'd be able to afford it — or know how to drive it (I certainly wouldn't be able to) — is another question entirely.
