You've got me pondering, now, to which Gi school that hero of a firefighter belongs. My first thoughts are the more obvious Laosung or Chiangshi, but if he were working with force and dust, as in particles thrown by the explosion, could he be Hoshun? That was energy redirection, not a shielding maneuver, unless the effects described by the witnesses were the result of a set of shields... It sure read like a redirect of the actual force, and anything being thrown along for the ride, rather than containment via barrier.
