 Because of stuff *gestures vaguely and incomprehensively* I am trying to import my LJ account to here.  It may not work (there are issues with LJ) or it could work and everything will be extremely messy.

Here's hoping for a decent import. I'm not sure quite what I did wrong the first time I did it years ago, but I ended up having to go back later and rerun the import to get my first couple of years copied over. And I ended up with some double posts as I did some manual crossposting instead of using the crossposting tool.

When I used the importer (quite a while ago) it worked surprisingly gracefully despite my having temporally interleaved posts on DW and LJ.

That said, importing may or may not work currently. (More details in the previous dw-maint post.) Here's hoping it does!

I have been over here for a while, but until now it was too much trouble to get around to importing everything from LJ.
I noticed today that the your postings over on LJ are fewer than I am used to seeing, so I poked around a little over here.... :)

The post echo function has gotten less and less reliable, alas. So most of what's on LJ these days is stuff hand-posted there.

There was a series of posts about crossposting about the time I requested my LJ back posts to be brought over. My take away was that LJ has dropped the rope on that and I suspect that is not unrelated to certain current events. (See also LJ extending subscriptions because people can't make payments to them.)
