Year 1, Semester 1, Day -1

The day started with rain, so Elidor spent an unhurried morning on household chores and packing her bag for the next day's lessons.  The skies cleared after lunch, and umbrella in hand, she went out to find the bus stop, then took the bus to the university, making sure of the stop she would need to get off at in the morning.  As the timetable told her that she had half an hour before the there was a bus back. she took the footpath to the building her first lesson would be in.

Curiosity satisfied, and with an eye on the forming storm clouds, she made her way back to the homewards bus stop and barely made the bus.  Which was fortunate because it was another three quarters of an hour before the next one was due.  Getting off the bus and getting home was punctuated by growls of thunder and she scurried to make sure she was inside before the rain arrived.  It hit as she was going up the staircase, and she passed her downstairs neighbour's door as Peadar was saying to a dark eared rabbit folk in his doorway, "I think you've left it too late to leave, you'd better stay until it stops." When she looked out the window, Elidor had to mentally agree with her neighbour - the rain outside was torrential.

Back in her flat, she checked that the rain wasn't coming in anywhere, then made herself tea.  A while later, she got up to date on her news feeds and then poked at the casual games options they offered.

After dinner, she watched the second episode of Skylark in Mourning (The Night of the Funeral) before getting an early night in preparation for the morning.

Saw her at lunch today and she was fine, except for her "my feelings have been hurt" thing that she does.  It's either about El, or TheScarmod said something to her.  Maybe both.  She said something about how she's not appreciated.

I suspect she'll say something sometime tomorrow afternoon.

The Planetary Department of State has today issued a statement reiterating that there is no expectation of an imminent return of the colonising power to this world.  Neither is there any expectation that remote contact will be resumed.  No traces of transposition drive use within our solar system have been detected.  All monitoring systems that could detect such use are regularly maintained and checked to ensure that they are still in working order.

If you are approached by anyone claiming to have evidence of such a thing and demanding the 'return' of real estate or other assets on the grounds that property transfer since the abandonment of the colony will be revoked by reinstatement of the interstellar power, then you should report the matter to police immediately.
