This follows on from the first four Witching Hour pieces and, like them, it was written in response to the Thimbleful Thursday prompt "The Witching Hour."



Bodram muttered near imprecations that couldn’t be taken out of context and acted on by whatever might be listening in this high moonlit hour. “I’m making contact with this one, but how is it not connecting…?”

In her room Katie sat cross legged on the floor, bathed in moonlight, rocking backwards and forwards while shaking her hand in front of her face and humming to herself. The humming and the rocking made nonsense of the seductive voice whispering in her head and the flipping of her hand across her field of vision created a visual static that broke up the images that accompanied the voice.

Once he’d almost caught her.
