May. 22nd, 2011 10:55 amOn the road side of my house I can hear the sound of gentle crunching and the soft fall of wooden debris to the roadway.
There are at least nine black and yellow cockatoos, each about the length of my arm from head to tail tip, in the feral pine trees that line the street. Each of them crunching up pine cones to get at the seeds.
