I have written this to the Thimbleful Thursday prompt "The Witching Hour."

The "I" in the title is there for a reason. :)

Cassilda showered, dressed for bed, made herself a cup of cocoa and locked her cat in for the night. As she drank her cocoa she went around the house, checking that the doors were locked shut, and the windows were locked in place with their fly screens undisturbed. In the laundry she closed the blind, obliterating the slated oblong of moonlight on the linoleum. When she was satisfied that everything was secure, she finished the cocoa, washed the mug and left it to drain on the kitchen sink, then cleaned her teeth and went to bed.

Later, Bodram snorted with disgust, “Asleep and locked up for the night! Who’s next?”
