March 2017 Prompt Request

Time for a prompt request for the month of March. It is autumn over here, with the moss spreading across my backyard and the sasanquas beginning to flower.

If I missed a prompt you gave me in February, please tell me about it. Likewise any extensions I might have mixed. 

Because I have The Day Job, other things that need/want to be posted, and etcetera, there is a limit of one prompt to be written per prompter this month.

This month’s prompt request is themeless so within the rules below give me a character, a phrase or a setting so I can write you 300 to 500 piece of fiction.

Signal boosting will get you a 200 to 250 word extension to the piece of your choice. Please tell me about it so I know. thank you.

Certain levels of patron over on Patreon will get a 250 to 500 word update on a piece of their choice.

You may throw some money at me for an extension through the Paypal button below.

There are some rules.

• Please don't ask for main story Nai as your prompt - more Nai writing will happen each weekend;

• One prompt per prompter; and

• No erotica (I need to be in the mood) and no fanfic (I would mangle your favourite characters to no satisfactory result.)

Re: last month's prompts: Did I miss your response to zero_pixel_count's Brightly coloured cushions, or is that in progress?

And ... do you want more threads in progress, or fewer? If more, I'll go dig up another dormant thread, or at least pick something nobody else is picking. If fewer, I'll pick something active, or join a topic someone else has asked for, or look for something I think is close to wrapping up.

Is there anything you think is close to wrapping up? Some of the folks I wave shiny things at are not fans of open serials (or even series, in some cases), and other than Ghost Story, and maybe The Chambourian Verses, I'm not sure what of yours to point to that's at a good stopping point.

Not a prompt yet ... though answering all those questions may well hit 300 words, in which case it counts anyway. :)

Hmm... (ponder, ponder, ponder) Maybe, mmm, no. Ah!

I am totally blanking on the character names, but the one with the one with the weaving based magic. The lady tracking down a stolen family pattern book, who discovered the thief has many enemies. (My Google-Fu is failing me)

*blinks* How the bleep did I miss that tag? I even looked through the tag list three times. That is indeed what I was trying to point to.

Were you looking on DW or on LJ? Most of Rix's stuff isn't imported to DW, so the tags aren't here. On LJ there are 900+ public tags to sort through. And I think a few things I looked at were tagged differently in the two places. O_o
